News release: Help Bedminster Down remember 60 years of education

Bedminster Down School are appealing for local people to come forward with any photographs they may have to help the school celebrate its 60th anniversary year.

Opened on 8th September 1955 the school has gone through a number of changes over the years, more recently a complete rebuild completed in 2006 and becoming an independent academy in 2012.

To mark the 60th Year the school are creating a photographic archive, with the best images appearing on the school’s website.

Business Manager Steve Christie said:

“We’d love to hear from any former teachers or pupils who might have photos of their days at Bedminster Down. We’ve educated thousands of south Bristol boys and girls and are using our 60th year to share what the images we gather.”
