Breakfast club leader Kelly Carpenter said:

“We now welcome 40 children in the morning for breakfast. Having our own kitchen and dedicated room means we can keep more equipment for drawing, cooking and games to hand.”

Headteacher Jack Lacey said:

“There is no doubt that children who start the day with a nutritious breakfast are more ready to learn by the time they come into class. The breakfast club is a lifeline for busy parents and I’m delighted that the Lord Mayor opened our refurbished room.”

Victoria Park Primary School gained Healthy Schools Plus status from Bristol City Council this year.
